Citizens Government Academy
Citizens are invited to participate in the Pilot Point 2023 Citizens Government Academy. The Citizens Academy is a tool to teach residents about the day-to-day functions and roles of city government. We believe that it helps build the relationship with the community while encouraging our citizens to participate in civic functions. One of our primary goals for Citizens Academy participants is to become more educated, eagerly engaged and proactive in building and strengthening our sense of community based on a commitment to values, integrity, customer service and quality of life.
The Academy will consist of five informational sessions, featuring presentations by multiple representatives from City of Pilot Point departments, and will be held at various City facilities. Class size is limited to 15 people per session and participation is free. The class will meet for five sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 until 9:00 pm beginning February 21 and ending May 11. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions. Participants will be recognized at the City Council meeting on Thursday, May 11 at 6:00 pm.
