City Manager

Duties

The City Council appoints the City Manager, who serves as chief administrative officer by executing the laws and administering the government of the city, as directed by the City Council policies

Britt M. Lusk

Britt M. Lusk serves as the city manager for Pilot Point, TX.  He has been working in local government for the past 6 years.  Prior to his local government career, Britt served in many roles for nonprofit organizations and public education.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Howard Payne University located in Brownwood, TX and a Master of Public Administration from Angelo State University located in San Angelo, TX. 

Britt is an active member of ICMA and has completed Leadership ICMA, Mid-Career Managers’ Institute, and both the Senior Executive Institute (SEI) and the Leading, Educating, and Developing (LEAD) program at the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service.  Britt is a member of the Texas City Manager’s Association and while in New Mexico served on the board for the New Mexico City Manager’s Association.  

Family

Britt is married to his wife Evon and they have two sons. He and his family are looking forward to becoming active members in the community of Pilot Point.
