Any resident whose physical address is located in Denton County or anyone who pays property taxes to the City of Pilot Point and/or Denton County is eligible for a free library card. Those under the age of 17 may receive a library card if a parent or legal guardian has a library card and meets residential requirements.
Out of County Residents
Individuals who live outside of Denton County may be eligible to receive a library card upon payment of a nonrefundable annual fee. The fees are $15 for an individual and $20 for a family.
Getting Your Card
Present a picture ID and proof of residency with current street address. Proof of residency examples: utility bill, insurance card, personal mail with postmark, etc.
For the first 30 days of card issuance, patrons may borrow 1 DVD and 4 books at check-out. After 30 days (if the patron is in good standing), patrons may borrow 2 DVDs and unlimited books at check-out. All materials check-out for 2 weeks.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Books can be renewed one time (unless on hold for another patron) but DVDs cannot be renewed. To renew items, call or bring the item into the Library (before their due date).
All material may be returned at the front desk or deposited in the drive-through book-drop located at the rear of the library.
